Women Empowerment

Dr. C.S. Dharmadhikari is, in addition to being a truly inspiring speaker, a Gandhian thinker, an Indian independence movement activist, a lawyer, a judge and an author. At the age of 14, he took part in Quit India Movement and has been recognized by the Government of Maharashtra as a Freedom Fighter.  He was acting Chief Justice of the Bombay High Court from 1972 until his retirement in 1989.  Hardly inactive since retirement, Dr. Dharmadhikari was awarded the Padma Bhushan (the third highest civilian award in the Republic of India) in 2003. He has also authored many books in Hindi, Marathi and English. His lecture at Hamaara Sapna spanned many topics and kept the beneficiaries laughing and entertained, while also sending across a strong message regarding women's empowerment (Dr. Dharmadhikari is associated with the Maharashtra State as well as the National Womens' Commission - today he is known as a backbone of Sarvodaya Movement).
