Gandhiji was born in Porbunder\, a small town in Gujarat.Gandhiji was a pioneer of truth and non-violence. He started the ‘Satyagraha’ (non-violence) movement for the Indian freedom struggle. He played a very significant role in achieving independence for India from British rule. He proved to the world that freedom can be achieved through the path of total non-violence. Hamaara Sapna women celebrated Gandhi Jayanti by singing Bhajans\, sharing their views in the form of talks\, displaying an audio-visual program etc.on Bapuji’s life.

He undertakes training session of Mumbai Police as well as Force-one.As a social service he teaches self – defense\, specially to women which is extremely important for them in today’s era.The trainer demonstrated different moves that the beneficiaries tried to learn which could come handy to them in the future.Mr. Khushoor fulfills Hamaara Sapna beneficiaries request to learn Self Defense.His trainers present\, demonstrated different ways to practice self defense.The women learnt basic self defense moves which would help them to protect themselves in some circumstances of the need.

DESCRIPTION:Ms. Dilshad Patel conducted a Dance Therapy session for women. 86 women participated in the session. Dilshad taught ladies some dance movements and also explained the importance of Dance Movement Therapy. She also explained importance of nutrition and effect of the same in our day to day life. This session provides energy and freshness in the busy schedule of Modern era.Movement Therapy is based on the scientific concept that the body and mind are in constant reciprocal interaction. Motion influences body image and leads from a change in body image to a change in psychic & attitude. Movement Therapy works from the premise that the mind and the body are inseparable\, such that a change in one affects the change in the other. It was a new experience for the Women. Women enjoyed the session to the fullest.

The Movement Therapy a combination of isolation moves that work on the entire body. Dilshad not only taught them a few dance movements but also touched upon the importance dance therapy. How it helps one become aware of how their current state of mind affects their gestures and postures and facilitate positive change in self-concept. Also sharedas to how the Dynamic methods of movement re-education that provide tools for reducing everyday stress through more efficient use of the body All the women thoroughly enjoyed the session to the fullest.

SUMMARY:Tata Mumbai Marathon Jan 2019
DESCRIPTION:Hamaara Sapna women were excited & enthusiastic to participate in the Marathon. All staff\,teachers & women were eager to start the run. As compared to last year the number of people participating increased this year due to the inclusion of the Pune staff\, teachers and beneficiaries. Ms. Kriti Bajaj \, Mrs. Shobha Bhuwalka & the representatives from Bajaj Group were also present to make this event memorable and etched in time. Numerous activities were arrangd at the Corporate Tent like the Laughter Session that was much before the Run started. The  Dream Run participants saw a lot of stalls of different NGOs  set up. The women also danced to some foot tapping and high energy Bhangra music. On completion of the run\,  women had snacks and many went to shake a leg with the Zumba. A few also tried block printing .Every one went home with some amazing experiences and sweet memories of this power packed event.

SUMMARY:Dahisar centre inauartion
DESCRIPTION:The inauguration of the Dahisar Centre was a memorable day indeed. Founder Ms. Minal Bajaj along with the Project Director did the Ribbon cutting ceremony. This was followed by the puja that took place. Lighting of the lamp was followed by the beautiful Bharatnatyam performance by a student of the Dance school under Umesh Bhai Desaiji Memorial Trust. Mr. Rajesh had penned an emotional song for Hamaara Sapna which was sung by 2 representatives of Umeshbhai Memorial Trust. A beautiful gift given to Ms. Minal Bajaj was the song framed and presented. Testimonials given by beneficiaries from Dharavi and Tardeo Centre were so inspirational and motivational at the same time for hte new ladies from Dahisar. The pleasant and heart touching surprise was by a group of beneficiaries from Hamaara Sapna when they saang “I Have a Dream”\, by ABBA. It reached out to everyone there and the love that they exhibited for Ms. Bajaj did not go unnoticed. All in all it was a lovely end to an exciting day and a great beginning for the new centre.

DESCRIPTION:The National Khadi Festival 2018 is organised by Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) to promote Khadi products.The main objective of the festival is to promote the products of cottage industry and create awareness regarding the art of states.It also aimes at providing employment to weavers and workers who are involved in the cottage industry.Various types of Khadi prodcuts from different states are made available during the festival. The products include khadi clothes\, khadi silk sarees\, dress material\, kurtas\, jackets\, bedsheets\, carpets\, chemical-free shampoos\, honey and other household items\, art and handicraft. Modern design and fashion elements were introduced in the Khadi products. The women from amara Sapna visited the festival. It was a whole new new experience to them.

Women all dressed in traditional navari saree\, participated in the elocution compitition danced to the garba tune. Women also performed the manglagaour and bhondla dance on this occasion.

Hindus celebrate this with devotion and enthusiasm.In India\, Goddess Durga battles and emerges victorious over the buffalo demon Mahishasuran to help restore Dharma. They ask help and strength from the Goddess to fight against the evil. In Hamaara Sapna\, Women celebrated Navratri by wearing traditional Navari saree\, Participated in the elocution competition and Ukhane competition. Women also performed Mangala Gaur dance on the occasion of Navratri celebration.

DESCRIPTION:Majlis Legal Centre is a forum for women rights discourse and legal initiatives. This is a group of women lawyers and social activists committed to informing\, educating and empowering women on their legal rights. Majlis offers legal services\, conducts legal awareness trainings\, and engages in policy level interventions\, public campaigns and public interest litigation in order to help women access justice. Majlis helps organisations to create awareness on legal rights and also offer free legal aid to women and children facing sexual of domestic violence. During the session the omen were informed about the different types of Domestic sexual violence. Also covered was the POCSO Act 2012 (The Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act) 2012 formulated in order to ffectively address sexual abuse and sexual exploitation of children)Sexual Harassment of women at work place/Muslim Women Rights. The session ended with a question and answer round.

SUMMARY:Ganpati Festival Home visits at the Beneficiaries Residence
DESCRIPTION:Ganesh Chaturthi\,also known as Vinayaka Chaturthi or Vinayaka Chavithi is a Hindu festival celebrating the birth of Ganesha.A ten-day festival\, it starts on the fourth day of Hindu Lunisolar calendar month Bhadrapada\, which typically falls in the months of August or September of the Gregorian calendar.The festival celebrates Lord Ganesha as the God of New Beginnings and the Remover of Obstacles as well as the God of Wisdom and Intelligence and is observed throughout India.Chanting of Vedic hymns\, different prayers\, processions take place during all days of the festival.Idol immersion is on the last day.The staff of Hamaara Sapna visited houses of some beneficiaries and took the blessings of Lord Ganeshas at their home during the festival.Different types of mandaps and flower decorations were done by the beneficiaries.Each more prettier than the other;The steamed modaks made by the beneficiaries were delicious.All in all every visit was memorable.
