Haldi Kumkum 2023 - Dahisar

The Haldi Kumkum ceremony is a social gathering in India where married women exchange haldi (turmeric) and kumkum (vermilion powder) as a symbol of their married status, wishing for their husbands' long lives. The celebration concludes with the traditional Haldi Kumkum ceremony, during which women apply haldi and kumkum to each other's foreheads. During this occasion, ladies shared ladoos. The festival, more famous in Maharashtra, sees women dressed in their finery, presenting a beautiful sight. A group of women performs traditional dances, with one of them delivering a solo performance. Beneficiaries also shared their experiences, and prizes were awarded to the top three ranks in the cybercrime drawing competition."
